CLL cells are capable to reshape their microenvironment to gain a survival and proliferative advantage. grant USPN, 2025 – to date.
We showed that CLL cells establish dynamic interactions with stromal cells based involving beta-catenin. Using co-culture models of CLL cells with stromal cells, we are currently studying how the contact of CLL cells is able to regulate signalling pathways linked to mechanical stress, i.e. Hippo/YAP signalling. This pathway participates to the cross-talk of CLL cells in the stromal environment.
